And when it comes to her work, Champion takes things seriously. 'I never want to be the person on set complaining, it just feels disrespectful. But yeah, sometimes you have to speak up.' One of those times? When her 40 pound space suit started leaking in the freezing water of Iceland. 'At first it seemed fine, I was sure I could just tough it out. But after a while you just start feeling numb and it was getting really hard to focus. And when it didn't pass, I asked Matthew [McConaughey] if he was feeling that too, and of course he wasn't. So I called over our first [assistant director] who got all panicked. I'd stopped shivering, which is apparently a pretty bad sign. So we rolled right away and were finished soon after. I ended up spending the rest of the night under a huge pile of blankets. I never thought I'd have a near hypothermia story.'
